Pagan Eye: Bellydancing at the Black Lotus Kult

I was delighted to be invited last weekend to the Black Lotus Kult Annual Celebration: One Beyond Ten - A celebration of the works of Kenneth and Steffi Grant. The event took place in London. The Black Lotus Kult works with the legacy of Kenneth and Steffi Grant. On the group's website it says:

"The Grants' body of work, particularly the nine books which comprise the “Typhonian Trilogies” have become increasingly influential over the years. Further, they championed the works of the likes of Austin Osman Spare, Aleister Crowley, Frater Achad and others during times when they had mostly fallen out the of public eye."

The annual celebration included talks and "experiences with the Typhonian Current", including the delightful bellydancers of Rachael Redfern’s Verbeia troupe, which you can see performing in the photo above. Caroline Wise was the main oganiser of the event on behalf of BLK and gave an illustrated talk on Kenneth Grant’s London Town.

Starfire is republishing the Typhonian Trilogies, and you can find those currently available at the publisher's website: http://www.starfirepublishing.co.uk/

My Pagan Eye posts show photos that I find interesting - seasonal images, pagan sites, events, or just pretty pictures. If you want to send me a photo for a Pagan Eye post, please email it to badwitch1234@gmail.com Let me know what the photo shows and whether you want your name mentioned or not. For copyright reasons, the photo must be one you have taken yourself.
