Pagan Eye: History, Folklore & Nature on Old Stamps

I was going through my box of old stamps because after 31 January, regular Royal Mail stamps without a barcode will no longer be valid. You can fill in a form and get them swapped for new ones, but I am taking the opportunity to use some up by sending greeting cards to friends.

As well as a few standard old-style stamps, I found ones with pictures on from bygone years. Luckily, these type aren't expiring yet. The Royal Mail website specifically says: "Special stamps with pictures on and Christmas stamps without a barcode will continue to be valid and don't need to be swapped out." You can find out more at the Royal Mail website.

I took a photo of some of the old special stamps to share here as the pictures are lovely and many of them have themes that are the kind of thing I blog about: history, folklore, nature and London.

My Pagan Eye posts show photos that I find interesting - seasonal images, pagan sites, events, or just pretty pictures. If you want to send me a photo for a Pagan Eye post, please email it to badwitch1234@gmail.com Let me know what the photo shows and whether you want your name mentioned or not. For copyright reasons, the photo must be one you have taken yourself.
