Walk a Labyrinth at the Mind Body Soul Event

A labyrinth is not a place to get lost, but somewhere you can, supposedly, ‘find yourself ’.

Unlike a maze - which is designed as a puzzle of pathways with diverging routes and dead ends - a labyrinth is a single path that folds around itself but leads towards the centre. Dating back over 4,000 years, labyrinths have a long association with spirituality, ritual and sacred dance. Walking a labyrinths can be a form of meditation.

You can learn more about the ancient wisdom of the labyrinth - and walk one - at London’s Olympia this month. For the first time The Labyrinth Experience, sponsored by Labyrinths in Britain, is coming to the Mind Body Soul Experience. At the show, you can enjoy a special labyrinth crafted by the award-winning team at The Labyrinth Builders.

One of the labyrinth designers said: “The labyrinth symbol transcends religion, time and cultures and is a universal ‘tool’ that can assist the individual to reconnect with their inner self, spirit or God.”

There is no one prescribed method to walk a labyrinth, though some groups and individuals have developed certain approaches and methods and offer their services as labyrinth ‘facilitators’ to guide anyone new to the practise.

If you are thinking of going to the Mind Body Soul Experience, you can have a chance of winning free tickets via a competition I being run via my blog.

What's more, you get two shows for the price of one. This year visitors to the Mind Body Soul Experience will also have the opportunity to enter the OM Yoga Show for free. The two shows are being held at the same time in adjoining Olympia Halls - this means that visitors will be able to visit two shows with a ticket to one!
